Jake LOVES the book We're Going On A Bear Hunt and it gave him the great idea that he and Jason needed to go on their very own bear hunt. They took the whole thing very seriously and spent the afternoon planning what supplies they would need to bring along. Jason made them matching bear hunting sticks and Jake brought his backpack loaded up with a flashlight, a bottle of water, and some honey to lure out any unsuspecting bears. They set out on their adventure after dinner in their matching camouflage pants and hats and with our brave bear hunting dog. The funniest part about the whole thing is that we live in a town with hardly any trees and no woods at all, so they had to go hunting for their bear on the golf course that we live on (there are a few trees scattered around the perimeter). I was so thankful when they returned and Jake assured me that the golf course was safe and bear-free...although he did hear one and scared it away with his stick. What a fun father-son memory!
